For us as witches, this work we’re doing through Witches Healing the Earth is equal parts magic to practical action. We hold synchronized rituals and meditations, and we also volunteer for beach cleanup days or to clean up our local roadside litter.

While participating in healing rituals and stirring up a cauldron of magical intentions is badass (and something we will continue to do), we also must engage in the nitty-gritty mundane work. That includes writing our legislators, staying informed on environmental policies, holding our lawmakers accountable, etc. We must engage in our communities locally, nationally, and globally. After all, if we could simply wave a magic wand to bring peace on earth in an instant, one of us undoubtedly would have already done so.

It sounds a bit daunting, doesn’t it? Part of the reason is that there is so much information to sift through. Laws and loopholes, breaking stories, policies, corruption, greed. It becomes tiresome. We get worn out. But that’s why witches need something like Witches Healing the Earth. What if all the information that we look for not only as witches, but also as citizens of our respective states, provinces, countries, and earth, was found in one place? What if there was a place to go to get objective, sound, trustworthy information and advice and action? (And maybe some genuinely uplifting and inspiring stories along the way too!)

That’s what I envision Witches Healing the World to be: a lively networking community of environmentally conscious people working toward the greater good of humanity and the planet through thought, magic, and practical action. I envision us leading by example, in a humble yet badass warrior sort of way.

But like everything in the world, it takes a village. Can one person make a difference? Sure. We have had heroes like that in our history. But it’s so much easier (and I’d also presume a bit more fun) doing it alongside others.

My vision for Witches Healing the Earth is that it becomes the most trusted resource for environmentally conscious witches. My ultimate dream is that it grows into a position of philanthropy, allowing further influence on healing wildlife and humanity. In more clear terms:

Yes, eventually, I’d like this website to make ad revenue. I'd love for people to be inspired to donate, so that we can give those funds to high impact, thoroughly vetted charitable organizations and relief funds.

For this to happen, we must stretch into that aspiration. We will need quality, credible content in the form of articles, photographs, artwork, poetry, etc. There will be topics ranging from quick and light fluff pieces, such as “10 Earth Day Resolution Ideas,” which can be easily read on someone’s lunch break, to heavier, more intellectual journalistic articles, such as a report on environmental bills or policies and how they’re affecting earth and humanity.

All of this is in addition to the community aspect, in

If you are interested in being a volunteer contributor, please visit the Contact section and send a message. You may already have content that falls along with these themes published elsewhere. If you are willing to syndicate to Witches Healing the Earth in return for links back to your website, products, or services, please include that information in your message.

I’ve listed some positions below that I’m looking to fill. Remember, these positions are all volunteer positions. While these positions aren't paid, you will be fully credited for your published works.

Open Positions, in order of need:

Staff Writers, Editors, and Photographers/Graphic Designers. We are looking for several staff writers, editors, and photographers. These would be regular contributors, contributing one to two articles a week, per writer. (Editors may be editing more than two articles per week and photographers may be providing photos to multiple articles per week.)

  • Reporter. We are in need of one or two individuals interested in journalistic writing (heavy on research, can tell a compelling story) to cover various environmental and humanitarian news with objectivity.

  • Journalists. We are looking for writers who are interested in writing about various topics relating to witchcraft, alternative spiritual practices, and writing stories of various humanitarian and environmental concerns. These can include interviews, intimate profiles of witches in our community, compelling cultural or personal essays, etc. We are also looking for feature writers. The sky is the limit here, as long as the content relates to witchcraft, spirituality, environmentalism, or humanitarianism.

  • Editors. We currently have two editors and are looking for three more to ensure our writers have the resources they need. You will be responsible for reviewing content submitted by staff writers and guest contributors, verifying correctness and accuracy, and making recommendations to the writer on changes that could be made and why. After all necessary revisions are made, you will then be submit the article to the editor-in-chief for the final review.

  • Photographers and Graphic Designers. If you enjoy photography or design, we are looking for someone to shoot/create images for our social media pages and for blog posts and articles. You will be fully credited and your work will be linked back to the site/content of your choice. You may need to work with the writers and editors to determine what photos/digital art will be needed for the pieces you're collaborating on.

Guest Contributors. We are looking for as many guest contributors (writers/photographers) as are interested, and if you already have content written that aligns with what we do at Witches Healing the Earth and are willing to syndicate, we would be happy to feature your work with full credit provided to you.
