Witches Healing the Earth: An Invitation

Witches Healing the Earth was founded in 2019 by me, Charlie Nichols, in response to the devasting man-made fires of the Amazon. Driven by greed and profit, the continued destructive deforestation of the Amazon rocked Brazil. Across the last decade, it is reported that "the Amazon lost the equivalent of 8.4 million soccer fields...or about 10.3 American football fields."

As the world became aware of the burning of our earth's lungs, I asked myself, "As witches, why aren't we doing more?" And perhaps we are, individually, but I felt compelled to create a community of powerful witches setting the same intention: Protecting our home and its inhabitants.

I bought a large world map and hung it on my wall in my home office/sacred space and I stuck pins in for every witch who joined this community, scattered across our globe. I envisioned each of us being an anchor of love and vigilant protection, healing the earth and humanity.

As I write these words now, Australia is burning.

So I call on you, fellow witches, magicians, priests, priestesses, brothers, and sisters: Will you join me in healing our earth?

Charlie Nichols is the founder of WHE and a staff contributor. Charlie studied Journalism & Mass Communication, Marketing, and Psychology at Madison College in Madison, Wisconsin.
