Witches Healing the Earth: The Fire Realm

Objective

The Fire Realm is focused on action and mobilization, primarily in community organization, grassroots activism, calls to action, and working on the sociopolitical aspects of our humanitarian efforts. While animal activism is encouraged, a large focus for the Fire Realm is the humanitarian aspect.

Intersectional humanitarian work and work for marginalized populations, as well as global humanitarian relief projects, fall to this branch. Black Lives Matter, LGBTQIA+ activism, intersectional feminism, refugee activism, etc. all fall under the umbrella of the Fire Realm.

It is important to note that Witches Healing the Earth fights to dismantle destructive and oppressive mindsets, ethos, and perspectives, not people. As the Fire Realm is the most emotionally-charged and physically tolling of the work, it's important those who are called to join this Realm keep a level head and keep their perspective clear and focused.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Fire Realm is responsible for mobilizing and calling witches to action all over the globe, not just those affiliated with Witches Healing the Earth. The Fire Realm and witches within it work to use righteous anger as a catalyst for progressive and positive change, not mindless destruction. They are responsible for the following:

• Sociopolitical action, including creating and circulating petitions for justice on crimes against humanity.

• Writing letters to lawmakers, speaking at local town halls, and otherwise getting active in the political process in your area. (Perhaps some of you may even want to run for local office!)

• Identifying the need for and organizing protests/rallies/demonstrations.

• Discovering and facilitating practical action others can take, such as temporary foster care for refugees, donating to particular charities, financially sponsoring children in need, etc., and distributing that information to the masses via written articles, graphics, videos, etc.

• Creation of media content, graphics, and marketing materials for the events that are organized (to be reviewed and approved by the Air Realm).

Roles Needed

Fire Realm Committee Head: Your role will consist of overseeing and leading other members within the Fire Realm. You will be looked to as a source of leadership and guidance for your branch and will take on the responsibility for your entire team and review its contributions to Witches Healing the Earth. You will also be responsible for approving/denying participation in events held or attended in the name of Witches Healing the Earth.

Fire Realm Event Coordinator: Your role will consist of identifying opportunities for community outreach via virtual and in-person events (as health and safety allow) as well as organizing and facilitating those gatherings and demonstrations.

Fire Realm Social Media Content Creator: Your role will consist of gathering footage of events and creating graphics and marketing materials for events organized by the Fire Realm. Content must be reviewed and approved by your Committee Head and the Air Realm.

Fire Realm Political Outreach Manager: Your role will consist of drafting letters to legislators, senators, representatives, and members of local political office. You will also be responsible for keeping yourself informed on sociopolitical current events and distributing petitions as they align with the goals and purpose of Witches Healing the Earth. Petitions shared may be started by other individuals or groups, or they may be created by Witches Healing the Earth.
